News: Azealia Banks Talks Nicki Minaj

For those who don't know about Azealia Banks she is a female rapper hailing all the way from Harlem who is currently making movements in the industry with her song '212'.
So now you know. Anyway, as many say that Nicki opened the gates for female rappers today Azealia doesn't think so. Speaking to Vibe magazine earlier this month she says:
"I don’t think the door was ever closed for urban female artists. There has always been a female killing it. I don’t think Nicki necessarily opened the door for anyone else but herself.”
She continued:
“I think she’s doing a great job with what she’s doing. But I don’t think any of the current female rappers’ success’ are contingent upon anything Nicki Minaj did. It’s contingent upon our talents and creativity. I think a lot of the things she started doing with her look were distracting. I think she’s talented enough to sustain a very fruitful career without the ugly wigs and ugly costumes.”
Now I don't usually agree with Azealia when it comes to her opinion on other female rappers but with this I kinda have to agree with. Whether you are a Minaj fan or not nobody can deny that Nicki can rap and she is a very talented artist but this whole fashion pathway she's going through with the wigs and her horrible OTT outfits she may rock does tend to distract us away from her talent hence why everybody keeps naming her the 'Black Lady Gaga' and demands 'Dear Hoodrat Old Nicki' to call back ASAP immediately.
