Winning: Rihanna matches Madonna

Congratulations to Rihanna as she scores her third consecutive album in three years (fourth altogether)!! Her #1 'Unapologetic' album which sold almost 100,000 copies follows in the footsteps of her previous number one efforts, 2010's LOUD and last year's Talk That Talk meaning that she is now equaled to Madonna's chart record for 'female artist with the most consecutive Number 1 albums' which is also being achieve by the the likes of Eva Cassidy, Avril Lavigne, Nora Jones and Susan Boyle.

In other relative news, Little Mix debut at number 3 whilst fellow X Factor alumni One Direction drop one place to number 2.

On the singles charts however, Olly Murs beat Girls Aloud to the top spot with Troublemaker with an impressive 121,000 copies sold this week!! He also matches Girls Aloud's record of four number singles achieved throughout their careers. Newcomer Alicia Keys scored her third top 5 hit with Girl On Fire debuting at #5 following last week's performances (her album is also out TODAY!!).

JLS fans better get their savings ready because JLS have just announced that they will be returning to a arena near you early next year but dates have yet to be announced as of yet. In other relative news they will be releasing yet another single off Evolution which is confirmed to be Give Me Life (*sigh*) and the quartet are apparently planning to re-release a Christmas Edition which would feature a cover of Snow Patrol's Run and a unreleased track produced by Bangladesh called 'We Rock The Night'.

Surprised Much?: Cheryl Scores 3rd #1

It's official, Cheryl Cole is back on top as she scores her third number one single with the Calvin Harris produced 'Call My Name'. That's not the only achievement she can celebrate tonight as it has been announced that the club track sold a massive 152,000 copies breaking DJ Fresh and Rita Ora's record by 

24,000!! 

In other relative news, surprisingly Trey Songz scored a place in the Top 40 with 'Heart Attack' at 28. Making it his first single to chart in the UK Top 40 in his career so far. Also Justin Bieber scored another Top 30 hit with As Long As You Love Me.

Also in the Album Chart world however, Gary Barlow scored another week at #1 with his Commonwealth EP leaving Usher to debut at #3 with Looking 4 Myself. Whilst the likes of Rihanna, Adele and Jessie J managing to keep with the top 20 with their 2011 released albums, Alexandra Burke dropped a staggering 66 places from #18 to #74 *sighs* (things are just not looking good for her are they?).

Looks like she has come to a decision as 'Under The Sun' premiered on Capital FM this morning as her second single off A Million Lights. Listen below.

I'm seriously looking forward to this album. This actually may be her best work to date.

Announcement: Nicki Minaj states her next singles

Moving away from the whatever happened this past weekend, Nicki Minaj gave her fans the chance to choose her next single(s) on her website and after calculating up all the votes, it has been concluded that both Pound The Alarm and Champion will be her next singles to be released of her sophomore album which apparently just reached GOLD status (500k in the US). She stated that Champion will her next urban single so she can keep up with the few fans she has lurking in that area and Pound The Alarm is obviously for her pop fans and a high chart position.

Pound The Alarm would be released next month (July 2nd) and the corresponding music video would premiere in the next fortnight or so. No information on the Champion single has been released yet.

Announcement: Little Mix Debut Single

Just when everybody was thinking where they had disappeared too, X Factor winners Little Mix revealed during a live Q&A with their fans that their debut single will go by the title, Wings (why did chicken pop up in my head?) which was also co-written by the girl group themselves. Reports also say that it would premiere around late June/early July and they would perform it for the first time on T4 on the beach.

Album Review: Nicki Minaj

 Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded

Who knew this day would arrive? After a pushback and disappointing tracks released by the reigning queen herself (excluding Starships), fans had their fingers crossed tightly, hoping that Nicki doesn't suffer the ultimate 'sophomore flop' causing an embarrassment to her career but now with the album officially released to the world, we can all judge whether it is legitimate enough. Read below for my track-by-track review.

1. Roman Holiday - I ain't gonna say much because there isn't much to say about this song but I highly prefer the live version that she performed at the Grammy's than the album version. The album version sounds weak, don't get me mistaken she does deliver but she lacks that energy compared to her Feb. performance which leads her to sounding weak and tired. Over It.

2. Come On A Cone - You must of heard the world crying and begging for 'Old Nicki' to call back; well finally the bitch did and it looks like she is taking charge again, showing her female counterparts that she is a force to be reckoned with. Boasting about sitting with Vogue's Anna Wintour and only competing with herself over the monstrous beat, she proves to her critics that she can still deliver and she is not a 'sell-out'.

 

Am I the only one that walks around singing 'Put my dick in your face' part all the time? Yes. Oh okay *hides face*

News: Chris Brown announces two new singles

So about two hours ago, C Breezy tweeted that not only does he have one but TWO new singles to be released soon. One is said to be an R&B track and the other Hip Hop.
"Sweet Love" is R&B and "Till I Die" featuring Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa is Hip Hop.

Whether this is a leak or not, I don't know but since Cash Money/Young Money can't prevent their artists' shit songs/albums from leaking, expect to hear more songs steadily making its way to the internet within the next week or so.
So last week we got the official track-listing to the album then she announced her 'Pink Friday Tour', now we get an insight with the single ' Right By My Side'. (Ahh Nicki stop spoiling us.)
