Brixton was the place to be last night as the likes of Trey Songz, Angel, Wiz Kid and Kendrick Lamar all performed at a youth event specially held by BBC 1Xtra. Even though there was some controversy during and after (Trey Songz nearly getting robbed) the set it had all gone pretty smoothly.
So the ratchetness came to an end last night. (Thank God!!)
Emeli Sande scored a hat-trick, leaving with three deserving awards last night. Miquita Oliver & Adam Deacon were probably the most annoying and worst hosts to ever host the award show (Bring back Reggie!!) and tributes were sent out to TLC along with the legendary Dionne Warwick during the show.
Most performances were average except from Emeli, Wiley and Misha B who slayed lives and careers!
Finally what fans living in the hip hop world have been waiting for... the release of Meek Mill's debut album, Dreams & Nightmares which was made available a few days ago worldwide has since created a storm. He teams up with the Boss along with Wale and Trey Songz for Lay Up.

Sorry, for not being able to blog yesterday as I had the opportunity to win tickets to attend Saturday's BBC's Hackney Weekend with Jay-Z as headliner. The event as a whole was AMAZING!! and Jay-Z's set was just...EPIC!! Below, I'll upload some performances including the best performances from Jay-Z so you can experience the epic-ness below.
It's official, Cheryl Cole is back on top as she scores her third number one single with the Calvin Harris produced 'Call My Name'. That's not the only achievement she can celebrate tonight as it has been announced that the club track sold a massive 152,000 copies breaking DJ Fresh and Rita Ora's record by
24,000!!
In other relative news, surprisingly Trey Songz scored a place in the Top 40 with 'Heart Attack' at 28. Making it his first single to chart in the UK Top 40 in his career so far. Also Justin Bieber scored another Top 30 hit with As Long As You Love Me.
Also in the Album Chart world however, Gary Barlow scored another week at #1 with his Commonwealth EP leaving Usher to debut at #3 with Looking 4 Myself. Whilst the likes of Rihanna, Adele and Jessie J managing to keep with the top 20 with their 2011 released albums, Alexandra Burke dropped a staggering 66 places from #18 to #74 *sighs* (things are just not looking good for her are they?).
After releasing a snippet a few days ago, Trey gives his first full offering from his fifth album 'Chapter V' coming soon. Listen to Trey sing about the worst pain that he's ever had below.
Trey Songz is back! After taking a break away form the spotlight, travelling to South Africa to seek inspiration for his upcoming album which could be released by the end of this year or during the first quarter of next year but no details have been released just yet so we just have to wait and see.
Now I used to be a massive fan of Trey Songz back in his 'Gotta Make It' days then his stuff started to become so predictable (every song was based on sex) and me and his music just drifted apart. I was so close to not blogging about this song he just released because I saw sex and assumed that it was the same stuff like his previous songs but after a few listens (15 to be exact and counting), I think old Trey is making a comeback... =D
