Anywhoo, I shall throw all you music lovers out there to the mid 90s also known as the 'Golden Era'.
It was known as the golden era for hip hop and RnB because those two main genres were dominating the charts like never before. You could kind of say it was an open gateway for black musicians since they mostly dominate these genres (e.g. Tupac, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, TLC etc. etc.).
Personally, I think this was the best era for music period. It was a time when people could connect with the music. It was a time when lyricists made sense when making music so their audience would understand their story. No gimmicks. No attention seekingwhores artists. No auto-tune. Just their talent and an instrumental to go with it.
